Nationwide BCA Technical Support
About this Project
As part of FEMA's Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) programs, applicants must be able to demonstrate the cost-effectiveness of its construction projects through FEMA's rigorous Benefit-Cost Analysis (BCA) process. Leveraging years of experience with these technical reviews, Timbalier Resources has developed a scalable GIS methodology that integrates Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) modeling with FEMA's standard values, enabling the demonstration of project cost-effectiveness at a fraction of the cost of traditional methods.
In collaboration with partner firm Rostan Solutions, Timbalier Resources has successfully advanced approximately $175 million in mitigation projects across 10 different states as of Q3 2023. This innovative approach not only streamlines the BCA process but also supports the advancement of critical mitigation efforts nationwide. By continually refining these methodologies, Timbalier Resources is helping to shape the future of cost-effective, large-scale infrastructure resilience.
