Spanish Pass Marsh & Ridge Creation (BA-0203)
About this Project
The Spanish Pass Marsh & Ridge Creation project showcases the effective integration of land services and advanced technology to support environmental restoration efforts. The project involved the creation of nearly 1,670 acres of new land using sediment dredged from the Mississippi River, including 1,538 acres of marsh and 132 acres of vegetated ridge.
Timbalier Resources served as the lead land service contractor for the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA), securing the necessary servitude interests critical to the project's success. Known for handling highly technical title issues, Timbalier Resources resolved several complex title conflicts through historic survey data analysis. Additionally, a custom online pipeline and utility report was provided, placing all operators on notice about the upcoming project.
Through Timbalier's integration of specialized land services and technology, the Spanish Pass Marsh & Ridge Creation project advanced successfully, contributing to the enhancement and preservation of Louisiana’s coastal ecosystem.
